WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL

A. S. Patil College of Commerce (Autonomous), Vijayapura has provided a platform to the women teaching/non-teaching staff along with girl students to express their views under the fundamental rights as prescribed in the Indian constitution. Thereby the girl students can come out with their problems related to the academic constraints and further familiar social-environmental difficulties they are facing. The addressed problems can be solved at the institution level respecting fully the social obligation on the part of the institution. If necessary the financial assistance is also provided in deserving cases in terms of scholarships, free sheets and so on. The continuous care is taken by the institute/college till the stated problems by the girl students and the female staff (if any) till all the related problems are solved completely and the girl students can concentrate in their academic studies and further prospects.

MATRUCHAYA

Under this head three members committee has been formed to look in to the problems of the girl students. It is commonly observed that the girl students are most of the time under certain mental pressures due to their circumstantial grounds wherein they are being brought up. As our aim states that we should accommodate the students from the poor community, most of the students are deprived of healthy food containing vitamin, minerals, folic acid, iron etc. which are must for their body building. The College here by provides the multi vitamins tablets, tonics, iron supplements, vitamins and minerals tablets to ensure proper hemoglobin at least at the basic standard levels. The girl students are provided with the good quality sanitary napkins, the machines for destroying the same etc. In such way female students of our college are nurtured and protected from any possible ailments under our banner MATRUCHAYA.
