The college is affiliated with Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, and has NAAC accreditation with B++ grade in 4th Cycle with 2.80 CGPA. The college offers three undergraduate courses, namely B.Com, BBA, BCA, and two postgraduate courses, namely MCom and MBA, which is approved by AICTE.
The UGC granted it Autonomous Status in 2007 for UG Programme and in 2008 for PG programme. Many value-added courses are also offered.
The college is located in BLDE Association’s new campus on Solapur Road and has excellent infrastructure. Of the 24 classrooms, 23 classrooms have ICT facilities. The college has a student strength of around 1,400 and a strong faculty team which includes four PhD holders and MPhil degree holders. The institute is also having Research Centre under Management from its Parent University.

A dedicated group of individuals embarked on a dream to create a strong education base in the district of Vijayapur. As a result in 1910, BLDE Association was founded and set an unparalleled example with the network of over 100 Institutions. A great scholar Dr. P.G.Halakatti dreamt of propagating education and the dream turned into reality by a host of great souls like Shivayogi Sanganabasava Swamiji of Bhathanal and the late Shri B.M.Patil a supreme architect of the association. The great souls like Smt. Banagaramma Sajjan, Atalatti Siddanagouda Patil and Kanal Chanagouda Patil generously donated for the cause of education. With its untiring efforts, the association has proved itself as a flagship association in the Northern part of Karnatak since 19th December, 1966
